On Saturday, September 22th, 2007, from 7-10pm, Good Shepherd Center will host a
Playhouse Block Party benefit auction and celebration at Mayfaire Town Center.
The Playhouse Block Party is a twist on previous special events: 5 unique custom built playhouses— constructed and sponsored by local builders, realtors, lenders, and others—will be auctioned, as well as other items, trips and experiences. The evening will include food from some of the finest area restaurants and live beach and shag music performed by Mirage.
The Block Party will be preceded by a Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 15th, from 11am-3pm, where children and their families can play games and tour the playhouses to be auctioned the following week. Together, the Family Fun Day and Playhouse Block Party promise to play a vital role in raising operational support for Good Shepherd’s soup kitchen, homeless shelters, transitional housing, and other programs.
