Harris Teeter Food Drive September 26-27, 2009

Yields 3,228 Pounds of Food

Good Shepherd Center conducted a food drive at Harris Teeter, Beau Rivage, 5920 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC on September 26 and 27, 2009. Generous Harris Teeter customers donated 3,228 pounds of food including, beans, peas, corn, tomatoes, mixed veggies, fruit, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, instant rice and potatoes, macaroni, coffee, napkins, cooking oil, bottled water, and dishwashing liquid. Good Shepherd Center will collect over 400 tons of food this year through their Second Helpings Program and provide over 100,000 meals to the hungry through their Soup Kitchen.
